Our Story

Ithaca Services Ltd was founded in February 2021 by Rodoula Demetriades. The company has been growing since, through a network of closely affiliated accounting and professional service providers in Cyprus, Greece and the United Kingdom.  

Ithaca Services is a boutique accounting firm offering custom service solutions for small and medium sized businesses. Our client base includes both local and international clients. We provide accounting and bookkeeping services, tax advisory and tax compliance services, audit and assurance services, startup business planning and consulting services and business and executive coaching. Through our closely affiliated service firms, we offer company formation and representation services as well as secretarial, administration services and banking support.

The name of the company is inspired by the famous poem of C. P. Cavafy Ithaka. Ithaca universally symbolizes the journey towards a dream destination, a lifetime goal, a life’s purpose. Ithaca is also a synonym to overcoming obstacles; continuing the journey against the odds, much like Odysseus did; and achieving what one sets out to achieve in business, in career, in life. Drawing inspiration from the great poet, Ithaca Services aspires to help you along your way by removing administration hurdles and assisting you in the planning and execution of your business objectives.  In consequence, you retain the ease of mind that you need to see clearly ahead and to continue moving forward to your own Ithaca! 

Ithaca Services is a young company; however, the accounting, auditing and tax services business was established forty years ago by Rodoula’s late father Mr. Andreas I. Demetriades. Andreas I. Demetriades was a career accountant, auditor and tax advisor in KPMG Cyprus for over forty years and he continued servicing clients for another twenty-five years after his retirement. Rodoula took her father’s business and developed it into a modern operation under the Ithaca Services umbrella, retaining the existing clients and attracting new ones.  The business has been modernized and the services are sufficiently sophisticated to resonate at any given time with the ever-changing industry and practice and the evolving client requirements.  What has remained unchanged over the years are the principles on which the business was founded; trust, expertise and personal relationship.
